Inspired by "The Great Ice Storm of '98" which hit eastern Ontario, western Quebec, parts of the Maritimes and northeastern United States, "Icicles to Miracles" is the story of a young girl, Shelley, who worries that the ice storm will ruin her Christmas.  When an unexpected visitor takes her and her puppy Barley, on a magical adventure, Shelley soon forgets her own troubles, and makes a joyous discovery about the meaning of giving and what it has to do with a little boy born 2000 years ago.
